Amber ColeCentre Director

Hi, I’m Amber Cole, Centre Director of Petit ELJ Coffs Harbour.

My biggest motivator, while completing my Bachelor of Education, was recognising the positive impact we have on children’s lives. I have always been very conscious about the first five years of life recognising the significance that these early years have on children’s development.

I believe children learn best and discover their world through exploration, curiosity and child lead experiences influenced by the creativity and care of a child’s educators to create purposeful, open-ended environments.

I am passionate about leading a progressive, caring team and I love each and every day in my role. I want more than anything to create an environment where all families feel valued, supported, respected and loved.

I cannot wait to share this journey with you and your family.

The high-quality care your child deserves!

Extra-curricular activities

Some of which are inclusive within your daily fee. Throughout the year we’re excited to provide thrilling and enriching experiences such as adventures to the library, age care facilities and our local supermarkets, to name a few!

Enrol your child in a Pre-school Program today to encourage a smooth transition and school readiness!

There is a strong focus on children’s social and emotional development to ensure that each child has the skills to become active and confident learners as they move onto school.

Here at Petit ELJ Coffs Harbour, we run a play-based program that stems from the children’s interests, strengths and needs.

We have a keen interest in the importance of families in the children’s pre-school experience, and we work to nurture the link between home and pre-school with all the families we meet. We are excited to share with you the learning of your child, and we look forward to the shared experiences of play and fun that we have in each session.

Petit ELJ Coffs Harbour Pre-school Teacher Profile

Liz Alam

I have been working in early childhood for ten years and have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.

My Pre-school program is all about confidence. It is about building confident, strong and capable children. The most important thing transitioning to Pre-school is providing a space that is fun, resourceful and a space to encourage children to engage and grow.

As an early childhood educator, my role is to provide an opportunity for learning and extending on each individual interest. By doing this children are engaged more and gain more in the best possible way.

By having strong relationships with our children and their families, we have a better chance to create little humans that are strong, knowledgeable and confident.
