Pollyann WebbCentre Director

Hi, I’m Pollyann, and I am the Centre Director at our Petit ELJ Burleigh. I started in Early Childhood Education to make a difference. We all know the first 5 years of a child’s life sets the building blocks of growth. My focus is to support not only children but the educators and families.

The most rewarding aspect of my role is when you see the light in a child’s eye when they have learnt/achieved/made connections with something for the first time. This, in turn, is also seen when an educator is supported and makes connections in their own role as an educator.

I’m looking forward to making connections within the community. To be the centre of choice as the stand out service who focuses on child well being and being school ready.

To all of our families, I am here as your centre support. I look forward to building a relationship with you and your child and there are no silly questions to ask. Through a partnership together we can ensure your child continues to grow through their developmental milestones in a safe, fun and stimulating learning environment.

The high-quality care your child deserves!

Burleigh Kindergarten Program.

Enrol your child in a Kindergarten Program today to encourage a smooth transition and school readiness!

There is a strong focus on children’s social and emotional development to ensure that each child has the skills to become active and confident learners as they move onto school.

Here at Petit ELJ Burleigh, we run a play-based program that stems from the children’s interests, strengths and needs.

We have a keen interest in the importance of families in the children’s kindergarten experience, and we work to nurture the link between home and kindergarten with all the families we meet. We are excited to share with you the learning of your child, and we look forward to the shared experiences of play and fun that we have in each session.

Petit ELJ Burleigh Kindergarten Teacher Profile

Abigail Puletaha Early Childhood Teacher

I have been an Early Childhood Teacher for 6 years and in the early childhood industry for 10 years. I have a passion for working with children, helping them to learn and grow. Teaching the future generation and seeing them thrive and achieve their goals is the most rewarding aspect of my role as a teacher.

My goals for the children in Treasure cove are to build confident self-identities, independence skills for school readiness and self-regulation skills.

I believe that the Kindergarten program here at Petit ELJ is inspired by a mixture of both teacher-initiated learning and child-led experiences, as well as incorporating parent input. Parent input is gathered throughout the term through communication books,  Storypark and parent-teacher conversations and meetings. We also include parents input in terms of their children’s goals for the year while in our studio. Children are always included in our program in terms of both planning and reflection.

This guides our practice and ensures the program we are providing is catered to each child within the room.

Our Learning Program

Benefits of attending a Petit ELJ Kindergarten Program

Our qualified early childhood teachers guide children through a learning journey that provides the foundation for a successful transition to school and that aligns with the EYLF that ‘all children experience learning that is engaging and builds success for life’.

Through participation in our evidence-based pedagogy program which include elements of play-based, inquiry-based and project-based learning, children are encouraged to investigate and explore materials and ideas through play and purposeful interactions.
