Parents adore Petit Hamilton.

Jennie Karageozis, Hamilton QLD

As a first time parent, I was pretty anxious about the idea of sending my 2 year old son to day care. After extensive research, we decided to go with Petit Early Learning Journey at Northshore Hamilton. The centre is brand new, well designed, not to mention spacious and has a great security system. Most importantly, the educators are extremely caring and experienced. I still remember the first time that I picked up my son from Petit and he didn’t want to leave… Now every time I send my son to Petit, I look forward to receiving a picture journal from the educators about what activities he has done during the day. I would gladly recommend Petit Early Learning Journey at Hamilton to any of my family and friends.

Lucy, Hamilton QLD

My husband and I are very happy to have chosen Petit Hamilton for our children. The centre itself is custom designed, well resourced, clean and new. The educators are caring, approachable and experienced. Systems and communication with parents is consistently clear and timely. But most importantly, there is always something fun and different for the kids each day they attend! Thank you Petit.

Therese Helly, Hamilton QLD

My 18mo and 2.5 year old started at Petit Early Learning Journey when it first opened. I have experience with other centres and I have loved other centres but this centre is absolutely above all else. The staff at the centre are so caring and innovative and have contributed to the development of my girls in ways that I could not have imagined. Both girls love going to day care every day and get the opportunity to participate in so many creative learning activities supported by the staff. I think anyone who visits the centre will agree that the calibre of this centre sets it above the others.

The high-quality care your child deserves.

Extra-curricular activities

Your child will be involved in a fun learning environment where imaginary play is inspired and encouraged. Our children especially enjoy activities where they are crawling through “jungles” (tunnels) and climbing “mountains” (foam blocks). Another favourite activity is playing with our home made playdough!

Meals

Have peace of mind that your child is eating the freshest, most nutritionally sound meals as they are prepared on-site by our very own chef.

Inclusions

A big part of our Hamilton day care offering is making our families’ lives as easy as possible. All nappies, wipes and food are included in your daily fees, we also provide hats and sunscreen for all children.

The perfect environment for your child to discover their creativity, confidence and love of learning.

Your child will be engaged in an honest, welcoming and friendly environment that is suited to their age and developmental needs. Our staff-to-child ratios ensure your child is getting the best care and attention they need and deserve.

Educator Profile

Kate YoungCentre Director

I have been in the early childhood education sector for 17 years and am a Diploma qualified educator both here in Australia and in the UK. I am currently enrolled and studying towards an Advanced Diploma through the Australian Institute of Childcare.

I was motivated to work in the early childhood sector after having my own children made me realise that the care I wanted provided for them would be an extension of the care I provided as their mother. I wanted a home away from home environment for my children while they were in care and felt inspired to provide this experience for all children.

Being part of a child’s journey as they navigate through their early years is the most rewarding aspect of my role. Understanding the importance of the early years development and the impact it can have on a child. To know that I have helped shape the person they will become in a positive manner really excites me.

My goal for the children at Petit Hamilton is to create an environment where all children and families feel valued, supported, respected and loved. To embed real and true life values into our everyday practices and program. I encourage children and families to collaborate and engage in our program by creating respectful relationships to ensure the families know their input is valued and needed to ensure a successful and engaging program.

Current concepts and teaching strategies that we are exploring are based on one of my favourite theorists Jean Piaget. “Children learn by doing, rather than being told”. Many magic moments happen throughout the week which makes me so grateful to have the job that I do, however one moment that stands out for me is when a child who attended the centre would not speak or make eye contact, felt respected and secure enough over time to come in one morning and without any prompting say “Hi”.
